The Heart of the 5725 Air Coulter Drill.
- The large 20½” (521mm) diameter single bevel boron Steel Coulter is set at a 4.5° angle to open the soil just enough to deposit the seed.
- The Floating Carbide Scraper can be adjusted to ensure a good furrow is maintained and the coulter disc stays clean in a wide range of seeding conditions.
- The Dry Seed Boot directs the seed into the furrow produced by the disc.
- The extension spring provides a trip force of 525 lb (238kg) for effective soil penetration.
- The Mounted Retaining Wheel ensures the parted soil is moved back over the furrow to secure seed placement and minimize soil disturbance.
Optimal Fertilizer Placement - Bourgault’s 5925 ACD is designed for one-pass seeding with the optional Mid Row Bander® III system. Mid Row Banders operate independently of the seed coulters, depositing granular, liquid, or NH3 fertilizer safely between the seed rows.
