You need a seed drill that you can count on, and the 5810 is that drill. The 5810 Air Hoe Drill will stand up to the season's demands with minimal service requirements and is backed by Bourgault's 5-Year Limited Warranty.

Drill weight and working force is transferred efficiently to ensure consistent soil penetration throughout the width of the drill, even in hard soil conditions.

The 5810 frame features 4" x 4" ranks sandwiched between continuous members running top and bottom the full depth of the frame. This construction provides a deep profile for high strength and many years of trouble-free operation.

Non-greased pivot points use high quality replaceable wear resistant components such as nylon, case hardened steel or composite bushings mounted on hardened or chrome pins. Even the rockshafts are mounted on maintenance-free nylon bearings!

The minimal number of grease points on the 5810 are located in easy to reach places for extreme convenience.

330 lb & 450 lb HD trip options

The Bourgault Spring Trip Assembly features a 1" diameter grade 8 pivot bolt and an extremely durable greaseless nylon bushing. The simple and durable design provides years of service with low maintenance.
Not only are Bourgault spring trip assemblies more durable than the competition, you will appreciate the low cost of parts when maintenance is required.

Bourgault Spring Trip Configurations

Where many of the competitor’s systems ride up on top of the ground, the Bourgault Spring Trip cushion design utilizes increasing force geometry to deliver a consistent operating depth.

The 330 lb Spring Trip Assembly incorporates a 1" pivot protected with a greaseless nylon bushing and a 1" x 2" shank.
This trip works well for seeding in most conditions with smaller openers. It can also be the correct choice for primary tillage in lighter soils.

The 450 lb HD Spring Trip Assembly incorporates a 1" pivot protected with a greaseless nylon bushing and a 1¼" x 2" to 1" x 2" tapered shank, which is 55% stronger than a 1" shank
The 450 lb HD trip is best suited for heavy tillage operations, or for use as a seeding unit in heavy soils when something other than a low disturbance opener is used.

Quick and Easy Leveling

Precise leveling is critical to achieving a consistent seedbed. The 5810’ s easy-to-access adjustments let you level your entire 5810 accurately using one standardized procedure...allowing you to get into the field faster! Adjustment wrenches are provided and detailed instructions are located near the point of adjustment.

Bourgault incorporates a superior dependable hydraulic design, a high quality depth control system, along with quality hydraulic components for accurate and consistent depth control and long service life.

Dependable Hydraulics

Bourgault tillage units are designed with a master/slave system to control the operating depth (either single or dual-series). This approach avoids the use of complex linkage systems that wear and stretch dramatically affecting the depth control.

A precision Line Lock Valve helps to ensure that the working depth never changes during operation. In addition, the Line Lock Valve ensures that any tractor hydraulic leaks are isolated from the cultivator.

In-Line Filter System

The hydraulic fluid for the depth control is filtered going into the master cylinder when the unit is lifted. Contaminants are released back to the reservoir when the frame is lowered so that hydraulic cylinder shafts and seals are protected from scoring.

For Safe & Convenient Travel

The 5810 AHD features a very compact folding system to make transporting through smaller passages easy. In transport position, the packer gangs can be retracted to increase clearance between the ground and packer wheels and reduce the overall transport width.

Automatically Engaging Rear Transport Locks

The rear transport frames are designed with an over-center locking system. This over-center mechanism automatically locks the transport wheels in place and removes all load from the transport cylinders.

Unique Folding Design

The 5810-72 features X-Fold Technology, which provides a very compact transport configuration for such a large air hoe drill. It operates as a 5-plex unit, but folds as a 7-plex.

Configure the 5810 AHD For Your Specific Needs

The 5810 AHD can be equipped with a wide variety of opener options to suit your seeding requirements.

The 5810 AHD accommodates:

quick-change knives that promote a low disturbance, high quality seedbed. To enable the Operator to place more fertilizer with the seed, quick-change spoon openers can be used;
other quick-change openers including: spread tip knives, hoe openers, vertical openers, sweeps and many more;
third-party, single- or double-shoot boots are also compatible with the 5810 AHD;

Note: Operators should consider 450 lb trips with double-shoot openers because of the higher draft forces that typically result.

5810 AHD Tires

Bourgault equips the 5810 AHD with larger tires that stand up to field and transport requirements.

Large caster wheels minimize the lb per square inch pressure for reduced compaction, improved transport handling and exceptional flotation in wet conditions.
The incorporation of double-caster and walking double-caster running gear minimize compaction while maximizing the stability for consistent seed depth.
The 5810-72 foot comes standard equipped with 16.5L x 16.1 mainframe caster tires and 13.5L x 15 tires on the inner and outer wings.
The 5810-62, 5810-52 and 5810-42 can be ordered with 13.5L x 15 tires all around.

Superb Contouring

Excellent Land Following Capability The 5810 AHD delivers a very shallow contouring depth to follow field topography.

Minimal Distance Between Packers and Casters The packer wheels are mounted closely behind the rear trips and the front caster wheels are positioned within the first row of the air hoe drill’s frame.
