Fertilizer Placement Comparison - 2016 Trial Update
The Bourgault Agronomy team conducted large scale fertility trails for a second consecutive year near St. Brieux Saskatchewan on canola. The goal of the trials is to identify ways to safely increase phosphorus fertilizer rates in a one pass system. This included strategies producers can implement with their current equipment as well as a triple shoot configuration. As like last year, plant access to phosphorus placed in the mid-row bander showed up as an increase in overall yield. There was also a yield response to high amounts of seed placed phosphorus.
